Expressing making or letting someone do something.

Rule

For Ichidan verbs, replace ru with saseru. For Godan verbs, change the final u-row vowel to the a-row vowel and add seru. For irregular verbs, suru becomes saseru and kuru becomes kosaseru.

Worked examples

食べる (たべる) → 食べさせる (たべさせる) 話す (はなす) → 話させる (はなさせる) 来る (くる) → 来させる (こさせる)
