Question Types (問題)

  1. 短文 (Short Passages) (~5 items)
    • Task: Read ~150-word texts (instructional, explanatory) and answer 1 question per text.
  2. 中文 (Medium Passages) (~9 items)
    • Task: Read ~500-word texts on general topics and answer 3 questions per passage.
  3. 統合理解 (Integrated Comprehension) (~2 items)
    • Task: Compare two different texts on the same topic and answer comparative questions.
  4. 長文（主張理解） (Long Passages - Main Point) (~3 items)
    • Task: Read an ~800-word essay/editorial and understand the author's primary thesis.
  5. 情報検索 (Information Retrieval) (~2 items)
    • Task: Scan notices, layout guides, or advertisements to locate specific target information.

How to Study This

Practice time management strictly, allocating roughly 60 minutes of the 105-minute combined section to reading. Read editorials, essays, and news articles daily to build reading speed. Learn to scan for keywords in information retrieval questions without reading every word.
